Mohamed Salah remains a top target for two Saudi sides, with a deal hoping to be prepared and ready to go during the summer of 2024.

The Egyptian winger has been linked with a move to Al-Ittihad this summer and with the potential of linking up with former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho, so it seemed likely that a move could materialise.

The Liverpool winger, who joined the club from AS Roma back in 2017, has become an Anfield legend and has consistently scored 20+ goals in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The Egyptian signed a new contract last summer but looks open to making the move to the Saudi side.

He remains committed

According to Ben Jacobs, The Egyptian forward is committed to the project that is ongoing at Liverpool.

The forward will be one of the more experienced players in the Liverpool front six and the bosses at Anfield will be hoping that they can hold onto Salah for the foreseeable future.

The interest from the Middle East is legitimate, according to the same tweet from Jacobs, but he is only viewed as a feasible target next summer.

The fee that the forward would cost the Saudi sides is still unknown, but the forward would be a generational addition to either side who are believed to be interested.

Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal are the two sides who are vying for Salah’s signature the strongest. The move for Salah would be a PIF-influenced move, but it seems likely that Al-Ittihad may well be the more likely option.

After Al-Hilal signed Neymar, the outlay on the Brazilian is a large one, with the forward rumoured to be earning £138 million a season.

The outlay needed for Salah would no doubt be a similar amount to that of Neymar, so Al-Ittihad may well be the more likely option for the forward.
