Mohamed Salah has been linked with a shock move to Al-Ittihad this summer as the Saudi Pro League bid to add more world-class players to the division, but would it be the right move for the Egyptian?
According to a Saudi Arabian source, Al Riyadiah, Al-Ittihad are prepared to offer €60 million to Liverpool for the Egyptian winger, but it seems unlikely that the winger would leave the Merseyside club.
Al-Ittihad, who have signed former Liverpool teammate Fabinho, were preparing to offer €90 million a year for the former Chelsea winger.
Liverpool failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League following Jurgen Klopp’s side finishing fifth in the Premier League, so it will be Europa League football for the Merseyside club this season.
The Egyptian is a bonafide Liverpool legend following his £36 million switch from AS Roma, he has scored 139 Premier League goals in 231 appearances for the Anfield side.

Salah’s agent responds
Despite the swirl of rumours around the winger’s future, it seems his agent, Remy Abass, has put an end to the stories around the forward’s future.
“If we considered leaving Liverpool this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract at the club last summer,” Salah’s agent Tweeted. “Mohamed remains committed to Liverpool”.
The winger only signed a new contract with the Anfield club last summer, with the Egyptian putting pen to paper on a three-year contract extension.
The forward joined Liverpool back in 2017 and notched an incredible tally of 44 goals in all competitions in his first season back in English football, this is following a poor time at Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.
Were Salah to make the move to the Pro League, which now seems unlikely because of Abass’ comments, he would instantly become one of the best players, maybe arguably the best, in the division.
Salah, 31, still has a few seasons in the tank at the top level and would be an incredible addition to the division, although it seems unlikely.
