Al-Ittihad have received a huge boost in the race to sign Mohamed Salah this summer with the Egyptian’s stance about leaving the club has been revealed.
According to respected Norwegian journalist and former footballer Jan-Aage Fjortoft, it now seems more likely than not that Salah will be leaving Liverpool this week.
This comes as a huge boost for the Saudi side who are reportedly keen on signing the Egyptian forward and could well feasibly pull it off if this news is true.
Al-Ittihad are persisting in their pursuit of Mo Salah despite Liverpool’s insistence he is not for sale.
Jurgen Klopp has been adamant that Salah will not be allowed to go, particularly as Liverpool have little time to find an adequate replacement.
With just two days of the Summer transfer window remaining, the Saudi side may have to rely on Liverpool signing another player before they can pull off a deal for the former Chelsea forward.

Time is running out
Liverpool will seemingly not countenance a sale of the 31-year-old without signing a replacement and with just over 48 hours remaining in the transfer window, it seems likely that the Anfield side may well be running out of time for a replacement for the iconic Premier League forward.
Al-Ittihad may well have the best front three in the league if they pull off the signing of the winger.
News of the forward’s desire to leave Liverpool will certainly help the Saudi side in the race for the forward.
With the riches available to the Saudi side, they would be able to pull off a deal for the forward and surely be favourites to win the league title.
