Al-Ittihad are reportedly still pushing to sign Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and have opened talks with the English side but whether the deal comes off remains to be seen.
According to Rudy Galetti, the Saudi side, who signed Fabinho this summer from the Anfield giants, are still interested in the Egyptian.
However, Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, seemingly shut down the chances of the former Chelsea winger making the move to the Middle Eastern side.
Galetti claims that Salah would be open to the idea of moving to the Saudi side and were Al-Ittihad to make a move for the 31-year-old winger, then he would be open to it.
However, due to the respect that Salah has for Liverpool, he won’t force the move and will allow the Anfield club to decide his future.
Salah to stay
After his agent confirmed that the story about the forward moving to Saudi Arabia was fake, Salah started and played a beautiful ball to Luis Diaz who opened the scoring in the rather entertaining 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
The winger certainly seems unlikely to make the move and why would he? Yes, Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League, but Liverpool have rebuilt this summer and may well be a more exciting proposition than they were last season.
As well as this, Salah signed a new contract last summer, so this certainly seems that the deal would be unlikely.
Were the Egyptian to make the move to the Saudi side, he would be playing alongside his former Liverpool teammate Fabinho, but also former Real Madrid icon Karim Benzema.
The winger would certainly be the best player in the Pro League, despite Benzema and Ronaldo featuring in the division, Salah is in his prime and would no doubt score 30 goals were he to make the big-money move to Al-Ittihad.
