Al-Ittihad are reportedly strongly interested in a move for Arsenal’s Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes amid uncertainty over the former Lille man’s future.
The Brazilian has been left out of the Gunners’ starting XI for both matches so far this season and is facing an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium.
According to Glanluigi Llongari, the Saudi side have a strong interest in the defender that Arsenal signed for £27 million back in 2020.
This comes after reports from Saudi Arabia indicated that negotiations for the defender are ongoing and were described as positive with Gabriel being open to the move to the Saudi side.
The Arsenal defender started alongside William Saliba last season but has not started any Premier League games so far this season.

Arsenal’s stance
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have no intention to let the defender leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, especially as there are only 10 days left in the Summer transfer window.
This comes after the Daily Mail stated Real Madrid are also interested in signing the Gunners star following Eder Militao’s serious knee injury.
The Brazilian defender would be an astute signing for Al-Ittihad but it seems unlikely that the Pro League side will be able to pull off the signing of the Brazilian defender.
That same report from the Daily Mail, which mentioned not only Madrid’s interest but also Saudi Arabian interest, too, claimed that the defender was happy in North London and wanted to stay and try to help Arsenal bridge that gap and win the Premier League title.
Al-Ittihad may well have to move on to alternative targets if they want to strengthen the centre of their defence this summer, with the Brazilian defender seemingly unavailable this time.
