Al-Ittihad winger Jota could reportedly leave the club in January with Tottenham Hotspur expressing interest in the Portuguese.
Jota had completed a move to Al-Ittihad from Celtic in the summer transfer window for a reported fee of £25 million, signing a three-year contract in Jeddah.
The 24-year-old was one of five major signings made by Al-Ittihad as he joined Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Fabinho, and Luiz Felipe.
Upon his arrival, Jota was expected to fit in Nuno Espirito Santo’s lineup and make an immediate impact in Saudi Arabia but has surprisingly struggled for game time.

After making just five league appearances off the bench, a number of local reports have confirmed the club’s intention to find another club for the Portuguese.
However, Jota reportedly insisted on staying at Al-Ittihad despite interest from Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq on deadline day in the summer.
A few days later, the former Benfica man was excluded from Al-Ittihad’s official squad for the Saudi Pro League this season, which sparked rumours of a possible contract termination.
Tottenham Hotspur have now emerged as the latest club to show interest in Jota and could offer him a lifeline in January.
According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is keen on reuniting with Jota in North London.
The Australian coach had managed Jota during their time at Celtic and the pair could meet again in January as the club look to sign the forward on a free transfer.
It’s worth noting that Spurs have had a bright start to their Premier League campaign under Postecoglou, having earned 14 points after six games.
