Al-Ittihad midfielder N’Golo Kante has suffered a huge blow as it seems the former Chelsea midfielder will not be called up for France’s latest international games.

The midfielder is an icon of the game and made the move to the Saudi side this summer following his injury struggles at Premier League side Chelsea.

According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins is reporting that N’Golo Kanté as well as former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba will both miss out on a call-up to Didier Deschamps’ France squad.

Since Kante’s arrival at Al-Ittihad, the former Leicester City midfielder has played four top-flight games, assisting one goal.

Deschamps has previously stated his move to Saudi Arabia won’t affect his status in the national team squad, however, he won’t feature for Les Bleus during this international break.

This comes as a huge blow for the French midfielder who may well have thought his France place wasn’t in jeopardy but it now seemingly is in jeopardy.

Kante’s performances in Saudi Arabia so far

As mentioned, the midfielder has made four appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side so far and it seems the former Leicester City midfielder is adjusting well to the move to the Middle East.

The French midfielder took the decision to move to the Saudi side earlier this summer and it seems to be a wise decision.

A video has emerged of the midfielder performing an outrageous piece of skill on the right-hand touchline, so Kante will be gutted that he is not involved with the French first team over the September international break.
